The Rebellious Curator

Widely considered a concept album, Aqualung featured a central theme of "the distinction between religion and God." The initial idea for the album cover was sparked by a photograph taken by the wife of band member (Ian Anderson) who had taken a number of photographs of homeless people on the Thames Embankment. The appearance of one man in particular caught the interest of the couple who then together, wrote the title track Aqualung, about an aged homeless man.
